“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” ~Nicolas Chamfort~
When you don’t feel like laughing, that’s when a laugh can completely change your whole outlook…because laughter really is the best medicine………
Think about it. When was the last time you had a real, from the belly, pig snorting laugh!??!
A happy tears running down your face laugh?!?!
I know it’s hard sometimes, I’m with you on that. What, with all that’s going on in the world, how can we laugh or smile………it’s because of all that, that we NEED to laugh and smile. Even for a moment……laughing and smiling is contagious!!!!!! It’s the ripple effect…..
Sooooooooooo….my hope for you this Sunday is that you can find reason to laugh, to smile….or even better, make someone laugh and/or smile with you…..it can make someone’s day and the best is, it’s a little gift that keeps on giving……
“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
~ Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods~
Nature in all its glory……my beach, my church, my sanctuary……..
What a beautiful Sunday … Sunrise was magical and healing. Today was one of those days that makes you believe spring really is right around the corner!!! The sun beating down gives one the feeling of being reborn, making it easy to hope that we’ve seen the last of ole man winter!
“I am a free spirit…either admire me from the ground or fly with me…but don’t ever try to cage me!”
“Winds of March, we welcome you,
There is work for you to do.
Work and play and blow all day,
Blow the Winter wind away.”
Sleet, rain, cold and dank is how March decided to come in…..regardless, it brings us that much closer to spring!! No more feeling down! It’s a time of renewal, a time to recharge and come out of hibernation, back to life!
The last 6 weeks were pure hell….the deaths of 2 friends…endless cold, medical issues, and a disillusionment with social media had me in a very dark place……..
Unplugging and reconnecting with myself in the form of yoga/meditation, picking up my pen and journaling, and slowly getting my body moving again has helped rekindle my inner light, and nature, always nature…….I feel like I am coming back to life….
