In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Inspiration.”

“Sunrise looks spectacular in the nature; sunrise looks spectacular in the photos; sunrise looks spectacular in our dreams; sunrise looks spectacular in the paintings, because it really is spectacular!”
~Mehmet Murat ildan~

Where do I draw my inspiration from……..Sunrise. Those who may have taken the time to browse through some of my past posts will have come across my photos…many of them taken on my Sunrise Soul Strolls……

New day, New beginnings…..something magical happens each time I see the sun peak above the horizon. Each new morning brings with it endless possibilities…..I draw strength from it….it gives me hope…..

“Nature unfolds her treasure at the first ray of sunrise.” ~Kishore Bansal~

Regardless of what’s going on in the world, in my life, I know when I show up on that beach, the sun is going to rise. This morning, while strolling, I said my goodbyes to my dear Aunt Doris. I spent many summers of my youth at her beach house along the Jersey Shore. Because of her, my love of the sea runs forever through my veins…..Rest Well and I  know you and Uncle Howard are kicking up your heels!!!

Each day is born with a sunrise
and ends in a sunset, the same way we
open our eyes to see the light,
and close them to hear the dark.
You have no control over
how your story begins or ends.
But by now, you should know that
all things have an ending.
Every spark returns to darkness.
Every sound returns to silence.
And every flower returns to sleep
with the earth.
The journey of the sun
and moon is predictable.
But yours,
is your ultimate
~Suzy Kassem ~

Each and every new day is a gift that should not be taken for granted…as long as I have a breath in me, as long as my legs can take me, I will continue to take my Soul Strolls, at Sunrise, on my beach, draw inspiration, and do my best to share it for the better good…………………

  1. You live in the perfect place for viewing sunrises and settings. Your aunt was a lovely woman. What a wonderful legacy she left you — the love of the sea. Loved these lines from the poem, they are so true:
    Every spark returns to darkness.
    Every sound returns to silence.

Have something to share....I'd love to hear it!!!
