(#tbt my high school days!)

I’ve always loved black and white photography. Ever since high school, when we’d take our cameras out and about, shooting ourselves and fellow students and developing our own pictures……there was just something about a dark room and the smell of the developing chemicals…………..

…of course now, we have so many different programs and apps that can do the job so easily for us……..

~Ted Grant ~ I love this quote, I have been raving about it today thanks to you 🙂

  2. I was a b7w portrait photographer before the digital revolution, making my own prints in my dark room, developing my films… your post reminded me of that smell and all that time spent in the dark, witnessing the magic of the images appearing on the paper …
    thank you!

That is the most awesome quote. I can see that, too. Everyone things photographing in color is so hard, but I watched a program once on how difficult it was to do pictures in Hollywood when film was black and white. The colors of the clothes played such an important part because the person wearing them had to be discernible from the person they were standing next to. There was a real art to it.

Have something to share....I'd love to hear it!!!
