Happy New Year…I’ve enjoyed participating in Cee’s Share Your World…..I started in July/August 2015…now I get to start with Week 1!!!
As a child, who was your favorite relative? Hands down, my Grandpa (on mothers side). We’re coming up on the 18th anniversary of his passing this month, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.
If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be? A Tree….no doubt about that! My birth tree is Pine, but I also have an affinity for Weeping Willows…though I Love all trees!
What would be your preference, awake before dawn or awake before noon? Most who follow my blog and/or know me Know awake before dawn is my favorite time of day! Watching the sun rise each morning is such a gift.
“That time of day when the sun hasn’t come up yet, but you can already feel it coming. It’s an elusive warmth, like a subtle promise whispered in your ear and you can go on with your day knowing you’ve been given another chance to get it right.” ~Cassia Leo~
Would you like to sleep in a human size nest in a tree or be snuggled in a burrowed spot underground? Definetly a nest…to claustrophobic to sleep underground 😬
Any of these would do 😄 (photo via Pinterest)
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful for the news of Grandbaby #6 for me in 2016. Now, not only is my son and daughter in law expecting their little girl in April…my ‘baby’ Kristen and son in law are expecting her 3rd child in August! I’m so incredibly Blessed.
The cold temps have arrived here on the island….wind chill was a big fat zero when I woke up…looking forward to the warmer temps coming back later on the week!!

I love willows as well! And congrats on the new grandbaby! 🙂
Thank you Cheyanne!!! ☺️
Now that is a nest. I want to sleep there too.
My Grandfather Thomas Tringle, my mother’s Father he was totally blind I loved him so and still do whenever I hear an Irish song being sung with no music I think of Grandad. “Tree of Heaven” my favourite Tree – trees I just so adore and get upset when they are cut down. Congrats on your new Baby, hope all goes well. Lucky you I would love Grandchildren. Take care.
❤️❤️❤️
I love the whole treeology thing. I am a Chestnut (in more ways than one! 😮 ) Though my favorite tree is a Maple. My Ent, Mapleon, stands guard outside my morning room window. 😀
😂 your a nut and I’m a cone!!! ❤️
Not so fast there! There ARE such things as pine nuts. Or don’t they come from pine trees?
Oh you got me!! I forgot about them.,,,they’re so good toasted!!!
Guess we’re both a couple is nuts!! lol 😂🙃😜
Question: What are pine nuts and do they really come from pine trees?
Answer: Pine nuts are the edible seeds of pine trees. They are small elongated ivory-colored seeds from pine cones, measuring about 1/2 inch long. When raw, the seeds have a soft texture and a sweet, buttery flavor. They are often lightly toasted to bring out the flavor and to add a little crunch.
😀 😀 😀 ❤
My Grandad on My Dad’s side! and actually he looked a bit like yours ☺
😄❤️
Oh, I loved my Grandpop. He was the very best. Still miss him.
❤️
I knew you would pick sunrise 🙂
❤️☀️
How did you find out what your birth tree was?
Wow, that ‘nest’ tree looks like it would NOT make me dizzy if I just didn’t look down. 🙂
Great questions. I’ve actually put them into a word doc this week. Trying to finish them now. Fingers crossed!
I found it here Fim http://www.birthdaytree.org
In Celtic Tree Astrology I’m Ash http://www.whats-your-sign.com/celtic-tree-astrology.html
Thank you, Linda! From the birthday tree org site, I’m a Rowan Tree! In the Celtic Tradition, I’m an Alder. Both seem to speak to aspects of my personality. 🙂 I also LOVE trees! My tree outside the bathroom, which I planted from a sprig, and now towers over the house, is an Eastern Pine. I love her. She’s gorgeous!

Your answers read a lot like mine. 😀 We have wonderful trees all around us, including redwoods, which I love, and big leaf maples, which are amazing. Their leaves grow big enough to cover your face. I grew up with sugar maples with their little leaves, so these huge leaves thrill me. We have a weeping cherry in our yard and I love to watch it swaying gracefully.
Thanks for the tree references. I’ll use them in an upcoming blog and put them into my journal, just for fun.
Seeing the Redwoods is on my bucket list!!!!! 🍁
