Thank you Robin, at Words For Life, for nominating me in the 3 day quote challenge. It’s been a while since I participated, and being the perverbial quote hound that I am, I graciously accept the challenge,,,,,with a few modifications. I will not be nominating anyone….but for those who follow or happen to come across this post, please feel free to jump in!!!! 😊
Day 1’s Quote
As someone who needs her quietude…this quote spoke to me….
“Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully.” ~Norton Juster~
Your photo has lifted my spirits just as I needed it – we Loners get hurt all the time don’t we Linda.
(((((Hugs))))) the folks who don’t ‘get us’, Anna..that’s their problem, not ours. No amount of explaining will ever do……what we can do is embrace, love, and accept ourselves for who we are….that makes us winners Anna ❤️❤️❤️
So many thanks to you for your kind words.
I remember that wonderful silence of having the whole house to yourself. It was such a wonderful feeling.
Especially when we were kids!!! I can remember those butterfly flutters knowing I’d have the whole house to myself,,,even if it was only for an hour! 😄
Those colours! OMG 🙂
Nature’s beauty at work …. Such a Blessing 💛
I recognized every one of those! GREAT quote. Now I’m sitting here trying to think of what other kinds of quiet I like… Hm…
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
