“You cannot spill a drop of American blood without spilling the blood of the whole world…. We are not a nation, so much as a world.” ~Herman Melville~
There’s no doubt that each of us remembers where we were and what we were doing 15 years ago. All our lives changed that day. Out of the rubble, we as Americans United. We rallied together. We grieved as one nation for our fallen families. We were one….we all bore the colors of the Red, White and Blue.
Now look at us. 15 years later, there is still so much hate. So much violence. There is disrespect. It’s a disgrace. We’ve become a nation divided. It diminishes the memory of all those lives lost that day, and since……it’s shameful.
We shall never forget
We shall keep this day,
We shall keep the events and the tears
In our minds, our memory and our hearts
and take them with us as we carry on….
