Happy New Years Eve 2019

The hands of time

Tick tocking the moments away.

Soon,

The final chapter

Of this book will be written,

The last period put in place.

And the book will be closed.

Reflection will follow.

There were stormy seas

That pounded and tried to break me.

There were times of peaceful calm,

When all seemed right.

What I have found

On this journey,

Is that my life

Is/was somewhere in the middle.

The rough seas help make me stronger.

The calm revitalizes.

In the middle, I find a cohesiveness

That makes my life’s journey

Explicitly my own.

The book is closed now.

A new one ready to be written.

While I hold the pencil ( I like to have the ability to erase)

God will guide my hand

and help me turn the page,

Let the journey continue.

Happy New Years Eve Folks!! This gal is under the weather, so I’ll be snuggling in with meds, tissues and Philip 😻

There’s gonna be a whole lot of reflection going on, a decades worth 😳 as I say bye bye 2019 and hello 2020. It boggles my mind to think that 2020 will be the fourth full year that Jim isn’t here. So much change, growth, transformation has occurred in my life. The me-myself and I, I am today, is unrecognizable of who I was at the end of 2016. I know he’s proud if me. I’m proud of me.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Advent Week Three

A Prayer for the Third Week in Advent – a Prayer for Joy

Holy Father, Lord of all creation, you have power and might over heaven and earth. You speak a word and mountains move. You whisper and the sea obeys. You turn darkness into light, and transform broken things into beauty. Lord, help me to see the wonder in your creation, to find the joy amidst the trials. For in you I can rejoice and be glad. No matter what the world brings, I can find joy in you. Help me to celebrate with joy and gladness this Christmas, for in you all things are made new. You are working to restore and remake all the broken pieces of my life and of this world. In you I will be glad and rejoice forever, delighting in you with joy. All this I pray through Jesus Christ, your only son, you greatest gift to this world. Amen.

Isaiah 65:17-18 (NIV)

“See, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever
    in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight
    and its people a joy.

Isaiah 65:17-18 (NIV)

Prayer Of The Week By Kathryn Shirey

New Man

So, as 2019 winds down, I’ve found myself asking 🤔 am I ready to let someone new into my heart? And I realized, I was and am. Though I’ve acclimated to living my life alone, and quite honestly I like it, I miss companionship. So, I decided to check out online, see if anyone catches my eye…..well, someone did. I met with him yesterday, and he stole my heart. From his fluffy gray hair to his whiskers, I’m in love. Meet the new man in my life….His name is Philip 😻

Advent…Week 1…HOPE

Advent word of the week is Hope 🙏

The lighthouse has always been a symbol of hope to this gal. 💛

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans15:13

Why is there hope? Because Jesus was born. O holy night. What a thrill. God is at work.

Loveeeeeee this mans voice ❤️🙏
