40 Day Sugar Fast…Day 4

DAY 4 — Thursday, January 9, 2020

2020 SUGAR-FAST PLAYLIST

Every time we fast and pray as a community we make a playlist of our favorite worship songs. These become our battle hymns! Like yesterday’s horn-blowing shouts of faith.

Today’s message about King Jehoshaphat and the way God rerouted his enemies as the worship leaders fasted and sang songs together… there’s nothing I’d rather do with you today than make a play-list of songs to carry us through all 40 days (and beyond.)

Simply link us to a youtube video in the comment thread below.

There’s always someone who throws a couple of funny songs into the mix. (“Sugar… oh honey honey…”) But for the most part these are faith-inspired and faith-inspiring songs that increase our courage as we stand back and see the deliverance of the Lord!

I’ll start things off with my recent favorite:

I’ll Raise a Hallelujah by Bethel

I LOVE THESE LYRICS:

I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies

I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief

I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody

I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me

OK, you’re turn! Add your favorite battle-hymns to the comment thread below!

I Am They

So far, so good. No real bad side effects going on. What I’m finding the hardest is just wanting to grab that handful of something to snack on while reading/writing……hopefully as I continue those feelings will abate.

In the meantime, a new hair color and some chilly vitamin C is just what the dr. Ordered for today 😊
