Day 7 Of My Meditation Journey 🙏 Opening The Doors Of PerceptionS

Winding down the first week.. Day 7 of the 21-Day Meditation Experience….

Day 7 – Opening the Doors of Perception

“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.” – William Blake

If we want our life to flow instead of being stuck, we need to first change the way we perceive the world around us. Because the experience of stuckness is the perception of limited choices, if we change our perception, we change our experience of life in the moment. In today’s meditation, we explore how our self-awareness transforms our perception, clearing away old conditioning, beliefs, and patterns so that we experience our self and our world in its true light.

It is interesting and true that we all perceive and react differently to things. I know the way I choose to ‘see’ and deal with things is very different today then 15 years ago……it’s not always easy to do…but it’s worth the effort and work…………

I know My perceptions paint my reality…..

Today…I choose to color mine in ‘positive’ hues 🎨 I know that by doing so, I’m creating a better Now for myself, which in turn sets me up for a better tomorrow.

Today I breathe in new perceptions and breathe out old…..

Om Hreem Hoom

I am silent awareness transforming itself.

My Ideal World…..The Sandbox Writing Challenge

Over in the SANDBOX WRITING CHALLENGE our assignment, as Lady Calen describes it,,”is a bit different and not something we’ve explored before.” I was curious as to where I was going to go with this……………

The first thing that popped into my head was a quote by a character, Jake Chambers, from the Stephen King Novel,  The Gunslinger. “GO THEN, THERE ARE OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE.”

I then pondered over this one…the visions I saw in my minds eye took me away…….and this is what I was left with…..

I dream of a place

Close to the sea

A place of wonder

And simplicity…

I dream of a place

Green and lush

Where nature rules

And all is untouched…

A life among nature

Is what entices me

A simple existence

Of living wild and free…

and just like that………..My Soul had spoken……..

Who was your best friend in elementary school? In an earlier blog post, Circle Of Friends, I touched on how moving around so much as a child, I never had the chance to forge many lasting friendships….with that said, I’d have to say my best friend in elementary school was my books….I spent many hours with my animal friends…..

What things could people do for you on a really bad day that would really help you? A smile goes a long way……and I have found that on Really Really bad days, a piece of dark chocolate works wonders…ok the whole dang thing on those Really Sucky Bad Days!!! 😁

If you could make a 15 second speech to the entire world, what would you say? If we’d all just love and accept one another, instead of always trying to one up each other, what a wonderful world this could be….we’re more alike than different, we all bleed red.

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer? Dance…I Love to Dance!!!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I’m grateful to the dragonfly who’s path crossed with mine. (S)He reopened something inside of me last week,,(s)he definitely made a lasting impact……..I’m looking forward to some breaks in the rain so I can get some yard work accomplished.
