“Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day.”

“Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.” ~Elizabeth Lawrence~
When we decided to leave Pennsylvania for Virginia, the hardest part was leaving my children and grandchildren (still is). But every autumn, I miss these trees as well. They adorned our backyard and always put on a beautiful magic show of color…..
They provided me with 3 years of seasonal beauty, and I miss them 🍁🍂
The trees that God placed here on earth
With their colors bright and bold
They range from reds and yellows
Some green, some perfect gold.
Clustered all together
Their colors blend and give
A picture of perfection
To enhance the life we live
They give to us a beauty
One that we all share
Autumn colors on a landscape
It was God who placed them there
For just a while we get to view
This beauty that God gave
So tuck the memories in your heart
To view another day
Let these memories take you through the days
Of winds and drifting snow
Let them ease the days of winter
Take them everywhere you go
And as the days give birth to spring
And new leaves begin to grow
Thank God for all this beauty
For only he could make it so

Lost all their color”
We’ve survived the dog days of summer, and now it’s time to cool off. The autumn equinox takes place at 4:21 a.m. EDT on Wednesday when the sun moves directly over the equator, making day and night nearly the same length. That’s where the word comes from — “equi” for equal in Latin combined with “nox” for night, WTOP reported.
Fall officially begins Wednesday and runs through Dec. 21, the winter solstice. But while people may agree on the season, they don’t agree on its name. Fall was originally called “harvest” in the 1200s, but by 300 years later people were using the term “autumn,” from the old French word autompne. Fall, from “fall of the leaf,” gained popularity in the 16th century. The British eventually chose to continue favoring “autumn” while North American explorers — later, Americans — used “fall,” according to Grammarist. ibtimes
Happy Autumn…my favorite season 🍁 I was up for it’s official start at 4:21 this morning, toasting it with a cup of pumpkin coffee!! Went to the Refuge for a Sunrise Soul Stroll,,,there were more clouds than sun on the first morning of autumn, but there was beauty to behold none-the-less…Stroll was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances in the way of the relentless mosquitoes who decided I’d be good for breakfast!

A ReGreen Photography Blog
This site is dedicated to my spiritual and physical journey before and after the death of my husband and the father of my son from cancer. It is about grieving, loving, understanding and sharing, and living in the connection while accepting the physical separation that passing on brings. It is also about moving forward in your life from whatever challenges life hands you and living the life that is wanted for you from above.
