Happy Anniversay ❤️

For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul. ~Judy Garland~

“It’s clear to me now that I have been moving toward you and you toward me for a long time. Though neither of us was aware of the other before we met, there was a kind of mindless certainty bumming blithely along beneath our ignorance that ensured we would come together. Like two solitary birds flying the great prairies by celestial reckoning, all of these years and lifetimes we have been moving toward one another.” ~Robert James Waller, Bridges Of Madison County~

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

When we met

There was a you…

There was a me….

Two separate souls

Lonely as could be…

We talked…

We listened..

We shared our thoughts…

Our souls connected…

We were no longer lost….

We started out
As a you and a me….

Two single hearts

Brought together

To share our destiny….

Happy Anniversary to my Best Friend. The road we’ve traveled has been one of ups and downs, twists and turns, detours and dead ends…yet, together, we’ve maneuvered and found our way over and over again……our journey is and has been one heck of an adventure….what lies ahead, around the bend remains to be seen….. Gratefully, we’ll take each day, each moment as it comes, together, side by side.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I. Love. You.

I’m incredibly blessed to have been given a second chance at this. Not a moment goes by that I’m not grateful to have this amazing man in my life. Together, we greet t each day of this crazy adventure that is our life with open hearts…….I Could Not Ask For More..

Pure Joy….In A Word. Nana 😄

This week, over at The Sandbox Writing Challenge we were asked the following question…

What would make you feel the way this woman feels?

Hands down, for me, was finding out I was going to be a Nana.

Each time (up to 6 now!) was not only a surprise, but a gift and blessing as well…and it’s a gift that just keeps on giving……..their individual personalities as they grow amaze and astound me……

Each time my Emily sends me a text or calls to FaceTime with me (She’s almost 13, she thinks I’m cool and weird, this makes me smile!😜)

The first time Landon called me, unexpectedly, and said “Hi Nana, whatcha doing? Can I come to your house?” Tears, smiles and laughs!! 💙

Mason, with those baby blue eyes, and showing his Nana how he can count to ten via FaceTime..he’s so smart, if I do say so!! 💙

Jemma, who insists on saying “I love you AND Olaf” whenever she gets her hands on the phone..and then blows kisses. 💋

And the joy of 2 more babies. Mason’s sister, who is due April 15, but from what I’m hearing, may be coming sooner,,,her mommy has started dialating!!! 💓

And Landon and Jemma’s new brother or sister will be here in August.❤️

My journey hasn’t been an easy one, there was not a lot to smile about, there was not a lot of joy……but I wouldn’t change a thing….it brought me to this place, it’s given me 3 amazing children and 6 grandchildren…..They are my reason to Smile!!!! ☺️

Happy Birthday 🎈🎉🍾

Happy Birthday to My Best Friend and Partner.

Our life together,

Has been made up of moments.

In those early moments,

I, You, Me

Quickly turned into an Us.

We are one.

Together, we have built

A foundation of Love.

A love strong enough

To hold us together,

Through eternity.

Your Are My Sanctuary.

My Foundation.

My Support.

My Rock.

❤️

My gift to you,

Is All Of Me.

My Heart,

My Mind,

My Body,

My Soul.

Getting To Know Me 😄

New Month, New Day, and it just so happens to be Monday, which means it’s time for Share Your World 2016-Week 5 over at Cee’s.

If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronic devices and things stored on them, people or animals), what would you put on it?  My Grandfather’s Bible. My Journals. My dragonfly dish that holds some favorite stones and small seashells.

If you had a box labelled ‘happiness’, what would you put in it? Pictures of my loved ones. I like the look of this steampunk box I found on Pinterest.

What do you want more of in your life? Hmmmmmmm…. I think I’d have to say time. I’d love to know that I could have 50 years with my husband. He’s 12 years older than I am, and the reality that we won’t/don’t  have that kind of time is not lost on me. We choose to live our life in moments, and make the most of ‘our time.’

Daily Life List: What do you do on an average day? Make a list of your usual activities you do each day. My average day goes kinda like this…

  • Wake up between 5-5:45 a.m…Hubby and I usually spend 15 minutes or so talking before getting up…summertime I’m up at 4:30.
  • Get up, make the bed
  • Pour my coffee…
  • Plug in my fairy lights, sit and start checking emails,Facebook, wordpress etc…
  • More coffee, breakfast
  • Vacuum
  • Exercise (if working out inside)
  • Shower
  • Head out to the beach or refuge if I’m walking outside
  • Rest of my day is spent editing photos, reading, journal, yoga, baking, more exercise…just depends on the weather and how I’m feeling.
  • When hubby comes home, make him a drink and we sit and catch up with each other’s day.
  • Dinner
  • Some news
  • Maybe a bit more tv…I’m always on my IPad too.
  • Lights out by 8:30-9:00 (I’m an early to be early to rise gal)

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful to surprises in the mail from a special friend who knows me so well…she sent me yellow dragonflies as a pick-me-up. She knows I get funky this time of year!

I’m looking forward to my son and Britney getting married on Saturday. I won’t be able to be there in person, but I will be there via FaceTime and for that I’m grateful!!
