This was my backyard view this morning. An incredibly beautiful start this new day courtesy of God 💛☀️

“In the morning, LORD, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.” ~Psalm 5:3~

Father, thank you for intervening in my life and allowing me to have a personal relationship with you. Thank you for your love for me today and forever. Thank you for the blessings you’ve given me and my family. Help us use those blessings to bless others. May I live a life of true joy as I see you at work around me today! In Jesus’ name. Amen. -~Ron Moore~

12 Nights Of Solstice..Night 5

Night Five’s meditation found me outside once again, in hopes of seeing some of the media shower…unfortunately cloud cover prevented me from seeing anything….

Over at JourneyPathInstitute  Cat’s invitation to activate your vision in a new way, from a new perspective was my inspiration … as well as this poem I came across and needed to share.

Winds of Change

When I chose to confine myself in my self constructed shell

I had been wilting

After having suffered through droughts

And floods

And lack of minerals!

Why, like Sleeping Beauty

I remained enclosed

Cut off from the rest of the world

Choosing to let myself twirl

In the many layers of my dreams

Hoping that I do get lost in these

So that I may forget about my reality

That of being, a wilted and scarred lily!

But then, one night, the moon started dancing

With such grace and exuberance

That the wolves howled with pride and confidence

And leaves shook with unexplained frenzy

Why, the winds have changed!

They brought with them, alterations to my planned confinement

My shell blew apart

Leaving me, confused and perplexed

To admire the moon’s dance

And to let the wolves’ howls drown my senses!

Pray, the winds have changed

As they no more wished to see me confined

The winds have changed

As they desired it that I love the mundane plane

Yes, Mother Earth and the Goddess of Life

Are not to be blamed for any of those mishaps

That broke me!

The winds have changed

As they wanted me to open my heart,

Filter through them to reach their warmth

And let it submerge my frail essence

In its twisting love kaleidoscope!

Pray, winds of change come to knock me down

Willing me to get back up

Lower my guards

Throw away my swords

And ride the wolves

To there where I am awaited

There, wherever that may be

There, wherever fate will it to be!

Pray, the winds of change

Kissed my soul

And like Sleeping Beauty

I woke up, only to embrace

My new reality!

Anoucheka Gangabissoon’s Winds Of Change

I discovered a new app to play with and came up with this creation….I superimposed a photo of myself onto the purple background and then added the dragonflies…..a new way for me to get creative….

12 Nights Of Solstice..Night 4

A time of traveling into the deep places of remembering. This is a time of connecting
with your inner knowledge. This is a time of moving into the realms beneath the surface, visiting the caverns of the ancestors. Gifting and honoring energies will guide you as you move through the depths and into the night sky. Finding the support that guides you along your way to celebrating the deep darkness and the return of the sun…the Winter Solstice.

As I continue my 12 Nights Of Solstice Journey I allowed my mind to wander……as seems to be the case with me and my journey, words begin to emerge, spiral and form…

This key

Reveled itself to me.

A gift.

And now with key in hand,

My journey continues….

As I wander,

I wonder,

What is this a key to.

What secrets await me as I

Continue on.

I Am The Holder Of The Key

I am a Seeker of The Lock………….and this stone,

it’s shape significant.

I await its message.

Key….and Stone

Then, with my key and stone in hand, I emerged into the dark night…

12 Nights Of Solstice…Night Two

Night Two found me bundling up and venturing outside for a late night soul-stroll.  Cat over at Journey Path Institute:12 Nights Of Solstice, invited us to find a Sacred branch or wand…my wand of choice proved to be my pencil. After my soul stroll in the dark, I came back inside, listened to the meditation, then proceeded to write….

imposed my poem on a photo of my tree taken in the dark….kinda like this effect

As someone who has always been a morning person, these meditations and exercises have me stepping out of my ‘normal realm’ and embracing the dark.

Welcome to Second Night of Solstice,

A time of traveling and following the heart path.
This is a time of connecting with your inner expression,
revealing the stripped down self.
This is a time of finding your way between the veil,
and through the edges of time…
seeking assistance in the reflective surface.
Finding the gifts that will illuminate and guide you along your way to
celebrating the deep darkness, and the return of the sun.

12 Nights Of Solstice..Night One

Cat Caracelo popped up in my FB newsfeed as a sponsor ad a week or so ago. I felt an immediate pull, so I clicked on her link 12 Nights Of Solstice  I am so happy I did so.It’s just what I need as I enter into this winter and new year.

I’m excited on so many levels to be participating on this journey. I feel stirrings within. An Awakening is occurring  and I’m ready to embrace this part of me and my journey. I’m excited to discover a new inner light..I ‘see’ a forging of old and new, and this excites me.

Last nights first mediation and Solstice prompt inspired this painting and tanka…
