30 Days Of Gratitude … Days 13-14 🙏

I Am Thankful and Grateful

Day 13: finding some of Jim’s words 😊❤️

FROM THE BEACH

The Mystery Of Life can not be more clearly explained then by

comparing Human Life to an Ocean Wave.

Human Life begins as does the Ocean Wave, mysteriously beyond

the horizon and out of sight.

Yet, from the time of their creation, we know they exist. In their

infancy they are recognized as a miracle, a gift from our Creator

and watched with awe.

As they grow, they are affected by the elements and forces of

nature which cannot be; controlled, contained and at times

explained.

In maturity, they can be warm and gentle or cold and forbidding:

productive or destructive.

As they pass maturity, they both strain to hold on to their

individuality and existence.

The Wave, after crashing onto a beach, surges in a froth, spreading

more and more slowly until it can no longer continue, in ‘death’, it is

forced to retreat back to the Ocean, its universe, to be reborn as a

new Force Of Nature.

Man, when no longer able to sustain a worldly existence, in death,

retreats back to his universe to be reborn as a new Force Of Nature.

All Life Is Precious and All Life Is Eternal.

Day 14: I Am Thankful and Grateful for each little miracle, like watching the birds in my feeder 🙏

Heavenly Father, sometimes, ok a lot if times, I tend to take my miracles for granted, or I take for granted You already know that I am grateful, so I don’t express my gratitude as often as I should. Whatever my reasons, today, this moment, I pray to you on fallen knees, how Grateful I Am.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (NKJV)

Romans 14:6a, “Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord.” (NIV)

1 Chronicles 16:34, “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (NIV)

Road Trip….First Stop…Chincoteague

I’ve been on this widow’s journey of mine almost 32 months now….A few weeks ago I embarked on another road trip…this one a solo trip back up to PA, my first time back since leaving there April 2017.

Knowing I wouldn’t be able to make the drive all in one day, I made a short 36 hour pit stop on Chincoteague…..the sunrises were there to welcome me back, as were our neighbors, who’s island cottage I’m blessed to call my home away from home……….

How Blessed a woman I am..to have called this place home..where I scattered Jim’s ashes and I can visit whenever I feel the need to

My favorite time of day ☀️

Front porching it ☕️

What a gift to spend time on the front porch with this guy…My Jim’s second best friend

Sounds Of Silence

Another week, and another go-round at The Sandbox Writing Challenge

Week 10’s challenge is to answer the question:

WHAT FASCINATES ME?

As I sit here pondering that question, I’ve decided to pull up the definition of fascinate………this was meaning number one……….

1. to attract and hold attentively by a unique power, personal charm, unusual nature, or some other special quality; enthrall: a vivacity that fascinated the audience.

So, now I have the definition…..I’m still sitting here, with the window open, listening to the wind whipping through the trees….and still pondering as to what ‘enthralls’ me at this moment in my life (I’ve got a case of widow blues going on 😞) but then……..LIGHT BULB MOMENT 💡

THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE

I know, if I’m listening to sounds, how is that silence. For whatever reason I don’t consider nature to be noise. So for me it fits into my own personal definition of Silence. Be it the wind, rain, bird song, crashing waves, the peepers at night, I attribute all to my quiet time. Nature’s silence is soothing. It also makes me feel alive. It’s my elixir. My healer. So for me, what fascinates this gal right now, is the Sounds Of Silence.
